Markets to Marunouchi: Tsukiji, Ginza, Tokyo Station

Eat the market, breathe in a garden, window-shop Ginza, end above the station.

Duration Half day
Stops 5
Start Tsukiji Station (Hibiya Line)
Best for First mornings in Tokyo, food lovers, jet lag turned into an advantage

This is the route Daniel walks on his first morning back in Tokyo, every time. Start hungry at the outer market, walk it off through an Edo-period garden where the skyline towers over the pines, drift up through Ginza as the shops open, and finish on a free rooftop looking down on Tokyo Station. It is the whole city in four kilometres.
