teamLab Borderless is the relocated digital art museum that reopened in 2024 at Azabudai Hills: a maze of borderless projection works that drift from room to room, including the mirrored Infinite Crystal World and a tea house where flowers bloom in your cup.

35. teamLab Borderless at Azabudai Hills. The original Odaiba venue closed in 2022, and Borderless reopened at Azabudai Hills near Roppongi in February 2024. The difference from Planets is the structure. Borderless is a maze of rooms with no set route, the works drift from one space to the next, and it's easy to spend three hours inside.
Afternoon. The National Art Center at Nogizaka has no permanent collection and no entry fee for the building itself, just a rolling programme of large exhibitions behind a rippling glass wall, and a cafe perched on an inverted concrete cone. If your legs allow, the Nezu Museum in Aoyama pairs pre-modern Asian art with a garden of tea houses and stone lanterns that feels closer to Kyoto than to anything nearby.
