Insider tip

Wash at the taps before you get in, and keep your small towel out of the water. Open 3pm to 1am, closed Fridays. It's 3 minutes from Togoshi station on the Asakusa Line, so it works at the end of a walk down the shopping street.

In Sasazuka, Shibuya Sasazuka Onsen Sakaeyu is a few minutes from the Keio Line station, with certified hot spring water. Kanamachiyu is one stop from Shibamata, a 1943 temple-style sento that keeps its old bandai as a display piece. Near the Togoshi Ginza shopping street, Togoshi Ginza Onsen and Musashi-Koyama Onsen Shimizuyu both have black-water springs.
