Orihara Shoten is a standing sake bar run by a liquor shop founded in 1924, on the approach to Fukagawa Fudoson temple in Monzen-Nakacho. More than 100 sakes are poured by the glass at counters made from bottle crates.

Tomioka Hachimangu's annual festival, one of Edo's three great festivals, is held around August 15, with spectators throwing water over the mikoshi bearers as they pass. The shrine turns 400 in 2027 and plans a commemorative grand festival that August in which its main golden mikoshi is carried out. The full main festival, with more than 50 neighbourhood mikoshi, comes every three years and last ran in 2026. Exact dates are announced by the shrine.
