Tokyo Flea and Antique Markets: Dates and Hours, 2026-27

Which Tokyo flea and antique markets run when: Oedo, Shibuya, Akasaka, Heiwajima and Boro-ichi, with hours, entry and the dates from now to March 2027.

How it's made

Tokyo has a flea or antique market most weekends, and the biggest is the Oedo Antique Market at Tokyo International Forum, which runs twice a month and is free. Shibuya’s antique market is on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, Akasaka’s is on the 4th Sunday, and Heiwajima holds a large weekend fair a few times a year. Dates below are from each market’s own page, read in October 2026.

Oedo Antique Market

Oedo is the biggest of the regular markets. More than 250 dealers set up on the plaza in front of Yurakucho Station, and the stock runs from old kimono and ceramics to prints and household objects. It isn’t always on a Sunday. The organiser lists several Saturdays and one holiday Monday, so check the date before you go. It’s cancelled in rain, and there is no edition in August because of the heat.

The dates listed for the coming months:

  • 2026: 31 October, 7 November, 23 November (a holiday Monday), 12 December and 20 December
  • 2027: 9 January, 17 January, 7 February, 21 February, 21 March and 28 March

The organiser says dates are subject to change, so the official schedule is the last word. The plaza is beside Tokyo International Forum, and Yurakucho and Ginza hotels are the closest beds, with the rates in the hotel price index.

Shibuya and Akasaka on Sundays

The Shibuya Antique Market sets up in the garden of Shibuya Garden Tower on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, from 10:00 to 16:00. The next Sundays are 25 October, 8 November, 22 November, 13 December, 27 December, 10 January, 24 January, 14 February, 28 February, 14 March and 28 March. The median Shibuya hotel night is US$258 in the index of 13 October 2026, and the Shibuya hotel guide covers where to book.

Akasaka’s market is smaller and sits at Ark Karajan Square in Ark Hills. It runs on the 4th Sunday, and in December it moves to the 2nd Sunday. Hours are 11:00 to 17:00 and entry is free. The market runs in rain and cancels only in severe weather. The organiser lists 22 November as a Christmas special edition, and by the rule the dates after that are 13 December, 24 January, 28 February and 28 March.

Heiwajima Antiques Fair

Heiwajima is the big fair, and it’s held at the Tokyo Ryutsu Center in the south of the city. The next fairs are on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December 2026, and on 13 and 14 March 2027. It’s free, and you’ll find the venue a minute on foot from Ryutsu Center Station. Hours are 10:00 to 17:00 and the last day closes earlier, so go on the Saturday if you want the full day. The organiser’s fair page has each edition.

Shimokitazawa Flea Market

Shimokitazawa has its own flea market on an open lot along Shimokitasen Street, four minutes from the east exit of the station. It runs on dates the organiser lists, mostly Friday to Sunday with some Thursdays and holidays. Listed dates run 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 October, then in November the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 8th, 12th to 15th, 20th, 21st, 23rd, 26th and 27th. On 5 and 6 December the market moves to a plaza beside the Ozeki supermarket and runs 10:00 to 20:00. Entry is free and needs no reservation. See the organiser’s schedule for anything later.

Setagaya Boro-ichi

Boro-ichi is a street market on Boro-ichi Street in Setagaya, held on 15 and 16 December and again on 15 and 16 January. The ward lists it from 9:00 to 20:00, and says hours can change or the market can be cancelled in bad weather. The nearest stops are Setagaya and Kamimachi on the Tokyu Setagaya Line, about three minutes on foot. The ward page doesn’t list the December 2026 dates yet, so the 15th and 16th follow the usual pattern and it’s worth checking again closer to the day.
